Add to Calendar 2016-10-28 09:00:00 2016-10-28 15:00:00 Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities Who Engage in Sex Offending Behaviors: Updates and Changes to the Laws, Supervision, and Support Planning This free one-day conference will feature a morning dedicated to legal aspects of being convicted of a sex offense for an individual with an Intellectual Disability in the state of Ohio. There will be a review and updates to sex offender laws, and a review of the placement and treatment process within Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections facilities. The morning will wrap up with a discussion of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections collaboration with County Boards of Developmental Disabilities to do release planning, and the role of community control (Probation and Parole) for individuals who have Intellectual Disabilities (ID) and are adjudicated sex offenders.The afternoon will focus the Individual Service Planning for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities who engage in sex offending behaviors. We will look at the impact of the DODD Sex Offender Protocol and the DODD Behavior Support Rule on service planning for individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
