Catherine A. Calder (Ph.D. Duke University, 2003) is Associate Professor of Statistics. Her research interests are in spatial and spatio-temporal statistics, and in Bayesian methods and computation. She has developed the dynamic process convolution framework for modeling high-dimensional multivariate space-time processes. Currently, one of her key research areas is the development of methods for analyzing categorical spatial and space-time data. She is also working on several collaborative research projects that apply Bayesian hierarchical models to environmental and crime research. Calder is a member of CJRC's Spatial Crime Research Working Group.
