Robert Kaufman Sociology

Robert Kaufman (Ph.D. University of Wisconsin, 1981) is Professor of Sociology and Associate Dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. His interests include the socio-demographic and structural causes of race-gender group market inequality, race-ethnic differences in wealth, the application and interpretation of models of categorical and ordinal variables, and models for the analysis of nested/hierarchical data. He is currently working on a project examining representations of racial and ethnic group members in crime news. He is the Principal Investigator at Ohio State University for a National Science Foundation funded Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) in the Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences.
