Alan Murray Geography

Alan T. Murray (Ph.D. University of California-Santa Barbara, 1995) is Professor of Geography and Director of the Center for Urban and Regional Analysis (CURA). His research interests include the application of geographical information systems, urban, regional, and natural resource planning and development, quantitative methods, and spatial analyses of criminal activity. One of his current projects uses spatial analysis to examine the consequences of the geographic constraints that are now widely placed on registered sex offenders. Murray is the co-author, with R.L. Church, of Business Site Section, Location Analysis and GIS to be published by Wiley in 2008.
