Bruce Weinberg

Bruce A. Weinberg (Ph.D. University of Chicago, 1996) is Associate Professor of Economics. His research has three foci: the behavior and outcomes of youth and young adults, with emphases on family background and social networks; the effect of technological change and industrial shifts on wage structure; and the economics of creativity and innovation. He has also studied the relationship of low wages and unemployment with crime. He is currently an associate editor for the journal Regional Science and Urban Economics, and is the recipient of a 2008-2009 Templeton Foundation grant to study “Geography and Creativity.”
