On August 11, 2008, Ohio Exoneree Robert McClendon was released from prison and exonerated after serving 18 years for a rape (of a 10 year old girl) he did not commit. The Ohio Innocence Project and The Columbus Dispatch series on “Test of Convictions” helped McClendon get DNA testing that provided evidence that the crime was committed by someone else. To date, the Ohio Innocence Project has freed 27 wrongfully convicted inmates from Ohio Prisons. Join us for a powerful discussion about the criminal justice system, The Ohio Innocence Project and hear the personal stories of being wrongfully convicted from Ohio’s Exoneree’s.
