Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Who is the Sleeping Giant: A Snapshot of Latinx Diversity featuring Yoland Zepeda

Orton
September 6, 2018
12:00 pm - 1:15 pm
Kirwan Institute 33 W. 11th Ave.

The influence of Latinx voters in US politics has been described as a “sleeping giant” for more than a decade. Because the US Latinx community is as diverse as it is large, others question whether there is a true Latinx voice. Yolanda will present a snapshot of the largest and fastest growing minority ethnic group in the United States, focusing on the diversity within this group. She will also include a look at the Latinx presence in Ohio and share some resources for learning more.

This event is part of the Weekly Forum series brought to you by the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race & Ethnicity. The event is free and open to the public.
