Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Hollie Nyseth Brehm is Associate Professor of Sociology at OSU.  Her work focuses on atrocity crimes and their aftermath. She is interested in understanding the causes of atrocities and is equally invested in studying how societies come to terms with their violent pasts. Her current projects involve an analysis of transitional justice efforts in Rwanda and a longitudinal study of the reentry and reintegration of people who committed genocide in Rwanda. She is likewise drawn to research on memories and narratives, as well as transformative justice efforts with respect to the U.S. criminal legal system and carceral systems worldwide.
