 Cathy Rakowski School of Environment and Natural Resources & Women's Studies
(Ph.D. University of Texas, 1984) is Associate Professor in Rural Sociology and in the Department of Women’s Studies. Her research focuses on processes of development and social change including: planning; social engineering; program implementation and evaluation; social impact assessment; community development under conditions of economic and political restructuring; gender and class issues; globalization, and; grassroots and transnational organizing. Her work concentrates on Latin America, particularly Venezuela, and Africa.
