Ric Simmons (J.D., Columbia University, 1994) is a Professor of Law. A former assistant district attorney for New York County, his specialties include Fourth Amendment law and evidence. His recent publications include the 2009 book Learning Evidence: From the Federal Rules to the Courtroom (co-authored with Deborah Merritt, West Publishing). Simmons' articles have appeared in the Wake Forest Law Review, the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, and the St. Louis University Law Journal.
