The Criminal Justice Research Center is pleased to announce a $3,000 seed grant has been awarded to Kayla Herbell, PhD of The Ohio State University College of Nursing to support her research project entitled "A Missed Opportunity? Examining delinquency behaviors and discharge placement restrictiveness among youth in psychiatric residential treatment settings."   The focus of this study is to identify gaps in care related to unaddressed delinquency behaviors and provide insights into post-discharge destinations for youth. In addition to highlighting potential gaps in care, this study may also illuminate potential avenues for intervening with Residential Treatment staff and agencies as well as providing enhanced support to this vulnerable population of youth and families.
