Criminal Justice Research Center Awards Record 10 Graduate Student Travel Grants
The 72 Annual meeting of the American Society of Criminology (ASC) will take place November 16 - 19, 2016 in New Orleans, LA at the New Orleans Riverside Hilton. The theme for this year’s meeting is The Many Colors of Crime Justice. The American Society of Criminology is an international organization whose members pursue scholarly, scientific, and professional knowledge concerning the measurement, etiology, consequences, prevention, control, and treatment of crime and delinquency. In addition to Dr. Ruth Peterson, Professor Emeritus (sociology) being the current President of the ASC, there are a number of faculty at The Ohio State University who are active members and will be presenting their research at the conference. This year, the Criminal Justice Research Center is proud to announce that it is providing a record number of Graduate Student Travel Grants to attend the ASC. Congratulations to the following graduate students who will receive $500.00 to support their travel and expenses to the conference:

In addition to attending the ASC, each of the above will be presenting their research at the ASC conference. Further, they will preview their presentations on campus at the Graduate Student Symposium on Thursday, November 10 in Room 038, Townshend beginning at 11:00 am. All are welcome to attend.
