As the celebration of the centennial anniversary of the Department of Sociology at The Ohio State University (OSU) in autumn 2022 moves forward, three alumni of the PhD program (Leesa Kern 1999,  Ramiro Martinez 1992, James Sutton 2008), have documented the story of criminology at tOSU.  The result is a wonderful essay identifying historical figures from the program and the dramatic influences of many of the faculty and former students on the academic field of criminology (past and present) as well as their translational influences into public policy especially in regards to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.  The article can be found below:
