Donna A. Ruch,  Doctoral Candidate -  OSU College of Social Work has been awarded a 2016-2017 Criminal Justice Research Center Graduate Student Research Grant of $650.00 to support her project titled “The Implications of Attorney Representation on Juvenile Justice Decisions Leading to the Disproportionate Incarceration of African-American Youth” under the guidance of her advisor, Dr. Theresa Early.  The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between attorney representation, race, and juvenile justice decisions, and how this may result in the disproportionate incarceration of African-American youth.
